Sixth FPSO project for deugro in four years

In July 2009, deugro Singapore continued its success and expertise in FPSO projects when they were entrusted with the ‘Tupi Pilot’ FPSO conversion project in China & Thailand.  deugro’s scope of work is the turn-key transportation of plant and equipment from worldwide origins to Laem Chabang, Thailand; Batam, Indonesia; Dalian and Tianjin, China where the ship and fabrication yards are located.

The VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) M/V Sunrise IV will be converted into the FPSO Cidade de Angra dos Reis MV22.  After completion of the conversion, the FPSO will be capable of processing 100,000 barrels of oil per day or 150,000 barrels of total fluids per day, 150 million cubic feet per day of gas and having a storage capacity of approximately 1,600,000 barrels. The FPSO will also be able to inject 100,000 barrels of water per day. The FPSO is planned to arrive in Brazil in the 4th quarter 2010 and will be installed in 2,150 meters water depth. The FPSO is designed to remain on the field for up to 20 years.

deugro is especially proud to be involved in this project which is the sixth consecutive award over the past 4 years, a demonstration of deugro’s commitment, strength & presence in the Oil & Gas Offshore related transport industry.
