New project award to deugro Singapore

deugro (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. was recently awarded a turnkey logistics and freight forwarding contract for a neodymium-based performance butadiene rubber plant in Singapore.

Once completed in 2015 the plant on Jurong Island will be the largest of its kind in the world and will serve the growing market for “Green Tires”, especially in Asia. Major equipment will be coming from Germany and India. deugro Singapore is looking forward to the project execution and is counting on the continuous support from other global deugro offices.

The new award is a follow up project of a successful completed job executed in 2012 and is showing the client’s appreciation of deugro’s competence and competitiveness in the industry.

deugro signed Enterprise Framework Agreement with Shell

The deugro group has signed an Enterprise Framework Agreement (EFA) with Shell Global Solutions International B.V.. The EFA came into effect on August 1st, 2012 and has a duration of three years, whereby Shell may extend the term for an additional two years at their discretion.

The scope of the agreement for Logistics Management Services falls into two categories:

• Project Consultancy Logistic Management Services and
• Project Execution Logistic Management Services

deugro is proud to support Shell on this EFA and jointly develop innovative concepts and strategies within the scope of the agreement.

The deugro Group meets in India

Every two years the deugro Group holds its “deugro Global Meeting” with key staff members from all global offices to discuss and present the strategy and the plans for the future. GM2012, as it is called internally, was this year held in Mumbai, India after the previous meeting taking place in Dubai, U.A.E. in 2010. The meeting, attended by over one hundred and thirty deugro managers and staff, took place over a period of three days from September 28th until 30th. It was strategically planned to take place shortly after INTERMODAL India, but also had the serendipitous occasion of taking place shortly after deugro India won the “Freight Forwarder Of The Year – Project Cargo” award at the 3rd All India Maritime And Logistics Awards (MALA) at the beginning of September.

The meeting, in the format of switching between presentations as well as small workshops, was a successful mix of being both informative and educational in regards to initiatives and goals of the deugro Group. The meeting also included the traditional team building “fun event”. This year it consisted of building a seaworthy vessel from cardboard and then two brave individuals from each team needed to traverse the hotel pool in record time . As was clear from the start, the “M/V Executive Vice President Titanic” did not have the most successful journey.

Overall the “Meeting of the Minds” at GM2012, as per deugro’s slogan of Minds over Matter, was a success and a highly motivated team has returned back to their stations to begin planning 2013 and beyond.

It was an evening for celebrating success, thanking clients and looking ahead with hope and confidence when deugro Projects (India) Pvt. Ltd. organised a trade party for its customers and other invitees during the Intermodal exhibition in Mumbai on September 26. deugro also held its internal Global Management Conference in Mumbai during the week with more than 140 participants from all over the world. Playing gracious host was Mr. Satish Kumar Singh, Director-Projects, deugro Projects (India), and his team, who have recently been awarded the “Freight Forwarder Of The Year – Project Cargo” award at the 3rd All India Maritime And Logistics Awards (MALA) 2012.

deugro Denmark participated in the Husum WindEnergy exhibition which took place from September 18-22, 2012 in Husum, Germany. The Husum WindEnergy is the biggest trade show in the wind energy sector and registered a new record with approximately 36,000 visitors and 1171 exhibitors at this year’s show. deugro, a leader in logistics solutions for the wind energy industry, was present at the Danish pavilion with its own booth. deugro presented its latest revolutionary innovation, a sophisticated system that allows for feedering Off-Shore wind components from the production facility directly to the installation vessel at any off-shore installation site. This cost effective and streamlined solution attracted significant interest from the visitors, exhibitors and one very special guest. On Wednesday 19th, His Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Denmark honored the WindEnergy with his presence and visited the deugro booth where he familiarized himself with deugro’s Off-Shore feedering system.
